Noho's Urban Outfitters Building Goes Up in Flames

Why is "Urban Outfitters" currently a trending Twitter topic for NYC? Probably because of the two-alarm fire raging on the roof of the chain's Noho location. Gothamist reports that the sprinkler system in at least one neighboring building discharged; they've also posted a terrifying photo of the smoke-filled sky above Houston. But Fireblog just picked up a Tweet reporting that the conflagration "can no longer be seen from New Jersey," which sounds like a good sign, relatively speaking. Still, nobody's picking up the phone at Urban, so this is probably not a good time to go looking for culottes on sale.
