What do the Meatpacking District and the Upper West Side have in common? Apparently, a market for flattering, high-priced denim designed by a former fit model. West Side Independent reports that Paige Premium Denim is planning to open on Columbus Avenue between 71st and 72nd Streets in the former home of Godiva Chocolates.
Paige's only other NYC outpost debuted on Washington Street in December of 2008. Like that location, this one will carry both the women's line and PPD, Paige's offshoot for men. As West Side Independent points out, the store will have some competition—fellow denim boom survivor Adriano Goldschmied is still going strong on Columbus a few blocks north.
