The Luca Luca Sale Is For Mature Audiences Only

The Luca Luca sale, which started yesterday, offers up to 75% off spring and summer womenswear and accessories. The sale was definitely geared toward the more mature buyer and, of course, avid fans of the Luca Luca label.

The sale is mostly organized by size, ranging from 40 (US size 4) to 48 (US size 12). Dresses and jackets are priced at one for $290 and two for $500 and we saw lots of wearable and forgiving shapes, some in bright colors. Beaded cocktail dresses are one for $390 and two for $600 (we didn't find very many and comparing that with Alice + Olivia's $189 for beaded cocktail dresses, it's a no-brainer). More affordable are the knits, starting at $100 for tops, $125 for cardigans and $190 for dresses.

There is also one rack full of floor-length evening gowns, which are priced at a wallet-denting $690 and are scattered in sizing. However, keeping in mind that that the original price of a silk grey mixed texture strapless gown is $2,900, the discount is significant. Also, there is a rack of 50% off current season, but we're still talking like $300 for a jersey dress to $800+ for a pink ruffled cocktail mini-dress.

The highlight for us, honestly, was a soft, quilted leather hobo in either eggplant or brown discounted to $130. There is a shoe section of very summery heels priced at $75 for one pair and $120 for two pairs. We saw lots of clear plastic with bright color piping, although in size 42, there were a few pairs of more contemporary cream color platform shooties.

There is an open fitting area in front of a floor length mirror (we did note that the windows looks shaded, so have at it). Also, staffers are very attentive in assisting with fittings and finding sizes. All the stock is out on the floor, so if this sale sounds like it's for you, definitely head over soon.
