Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Perform not just one, but two good deeds all through shopping—file that under fantastic ideas. EcoSalon, the site that fuses style and sustainable living, brings it all to fruition at the EcoSalon Shops! event taking place tonight from 7pm to 10pm at Green Spaces in Soho. The shopping event features 20 sustainable clothing and accessories designers including H. Fredrikkson, Lara Miller, Study by Tara St. James and Cri De Coeur shoes.
In addition to promoting sustainable living through shopping, Erica Wolf, a board member of Save the Garment Center will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the importance of this cause. Organic wine, vodka and chocolate refreshments will be served to contribute to your shopping pleasure. Also, the first 50 shoppers to arrive will receive gift bags filled with sustainable goodies. There is no admission fee to this event, but donations to Save the Garment Center won't be turned away. Here's to shopping with a clear conscience.
