EAST VILLAGE—Remember when we warned you that Fab 208 was moving across 7th Street, so you shouldn't be alarmed when you see a "For rent" sign in their window? According to EV Grieve, the signage has landed. [EVG}
UNION SQUARE—Earlier this year, the Strand hosted a tote bag design contest. Judges included the art editor of the New Yorker and several other luminaries and some 800 people entered. The lucky winner, Zac Foster, took him the price with a design made up of the neon-hued outlines of things that could potentially be in a typical Strand bag—keys, safety pins, a water bottle. Now, you can buy his triumphant tote, in-store or online. [The Strand]
