When the black shoes boxes are stacked high in Marc by Marc Jacobs on Bleecker Street, you know that it's time for the quiet sale. What do we mean "quiet sale?" Well, the shoes are stacked and they're all 70% off, but there's just one small sign stating this, and there's no sale prices marked on the boxes. Nor is there a crowd clamoring to buy them.
Last night, we witnessed as a woman purchased and then wore home a pair of MbMJ flats, for a grand total of $72. And considering how most of the sale shoes regularly retail for $295, it's rare to find them discounted to under $90. Sizes are limited and the tourists are swarming in the hot sun, so we'd recommend heading down soon if you're interested.
