Oh man, the details on this Catbird burglary story just keep getting more heartwarming. Rony Vardi of Catbird told Gothamist that she had no idea the store was missing a $15 locket until the 7-year-old robber showed up in tears, accompanied by his dad, and handed her his apology note. And the Voice reports that the necklace "was in a candy dish and could easily be construed as free by a kid." The shop seems to be taking the hit to its inventory in stride: After the boy apologized, an employee shook his hand and told him he'd done the right thing.
