Designer Tobias Wong was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on Sunday at the age of 35. Wong, a born provocateur, might have been best known in fashion circles for his Wong Wong football scarves, but he was also the mastermind behind such pranks as the Wrong Store, a small but legit-looking retail establishment in Chelsea (complete with merchandise, business cards, and a working phone line) that was never actually open. According to the office of the chief medical examiner for the borough, his death was a suicide. [NYT]
