If you haven't been paying attention to all this business going on in Albany, you might want to start. Governor Patterson is pushing a new state budget that includes a number of provisions including the temporarily elimination of the sales tax exemption on clothes and shoes less than $110. There is major negotiating going on a we speak as the lawmakers up in Albany are trying to either pass the budget by the Governor's deadline or the government will shut down (craziness). Lawmakers can't officially vote until 12:01am tomorrow morning so we'll be waiting for the news. Come Tuesday, we might have to start shopping in the Jerz. [NYT]
