Artist Jenny Holzer Designs the Upcoming KedsWhitney Collab

A far cry from when we used to tag our own Keds with Sharpies, these popular again shoes can start claiming some artistic street cred with a Jenny Holzer designed KedsWhitney collection. The line, featuring the Classic Champion and the Champion Hi Top bearing signature phrases from the Holzer's pieces, will launch at select Bloomingdale's, plus bloomingdales.com and keds.com, on July 8th. The shoes are a bit more expensive than the usual, priced at $70 to $75, but think of it as wearable art. (It's the closest we'll get to owning a Jenny Holzer, considering that her pieces run into the tens of thousands). Plus, it's for a good cause—all profits from the shoes will benefit the Whitney Museum of American Art.
