The Rogan/Loomstate Sample Sale: It's in the Jeans

A visit to the Rogan/Loomstate sample sale yesterday yielded moderately successful results. The small space had a handful of shoppers and a 1:1 match of salespeople, who were friendly and quick to rearrange a cluttered rack. The store had equal parts menswear and womenswear, but don't go expecting some outrageously unique item. Check it out if you're looking for autumn-appropriate, mild-weather basics like soft-worn Rogan jeans, soft-to-the-touch tees, anoraks and button-downs and blazers for guys, simple Loomstate organic sweaters and cutoff denim shorts and khakis for women.

Among the neutral-toned tees and jeans, highlights included sari-inspired Loomstate tunics, bright graphic tees, and some items (a sweater, tunic, and t-shirt were of note) involving cutouts, mesh, or see-through elements. Bargains include rows of men's and women's t-shirts for $20 from $60 and women's Rogan leather skirts from $498 to $105. Denim watch: The best bet of the sale were men's jeans down from $260 to $100 (in softer to rougher textures, in blue to gray to black tones) and women's jeans down from $200 to $85 (ranging from about size 25-32, in straight and skinny styles, and from gray to lilac to black to bright blue to standard denim to bordeaux).
