Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Hot off the wire comes a report on the Eugenia Kim sale from our special hat correspondent, who writes: "There was no line, which was nice—I was in and out in half an hour. The prices are determined by a colored dot on the tag and prices are from $5 up, but the overwhelming majority of the hats were either $55 (red dot) or $115 (black dot). Salesgirls were friendly but a bit too eager to upsell. That said, I ended up with a way cute hat—it’s an original that was custom made for the sale." Head over to Mizhattan for the full price list and photos.
