Valeria Smith, a bag and shoe designer hailing from Buenos Aires, has always wanted a store in the U.S. Her Argentina-based brand Jackie Smith has found success ever since its 2007 debut—in Buenos Aires you can see the pink-topped black boxes everywhere. And now she's finally opened a flagship bearing her name on Mercer Street.
Smith's designs for both brands can be described as simple and romantic. Her new line of accessories mixes colors and textures, with an emphasis on usability. We love that her bags come with optional chains as well as top handles and shoulder-straps. In her spacious new store, you'll also find a large collection of Italian patent leather flats, most from $240 and all available exclusively at that location. Handbags run from $200 to $800 and shoes from $240 to $295, all for timeless pieces you can't get anywhere else. —Joann Pan
