The New Yorker takes the ferry over to Governors Island for a look at the NewNew, a gift shop ensconced in one of the island's old military guesthouses. The store brings together about 30 Etsy sellers in what one visitor called "a shrine to crafts." Highlights include Jen McGlashan's fish-inspired jewelry, Alexandra Ferguson's felt pillows, and Jill Davis's tiny little house pendants, as well as trinkets inspired by the location's history.
