By this time in 2011, Alexander Wang's first-ever store will be open somewhere in New York City. WWD reports that the grunge wunderkind is close to signing a lease, though for now he's remaining close-mouthed about the location. Wang has a big year ahead of him: He's also planning to launch a line of crisp and tailored "essentials" to complement his breezier, less work-friendly T line. The collection, priced at around $260 to $550, will debut with three pairs of pants, two jackets and one shirt. It's due out alongside his resort collection this fall.
