DwellStudio, known for fun and whimsical home furnishings, started its sample sale last Friday in Soho. Sample Sally stopped in on Sunday to find a picked over and limited selection. She was on a hunt for a brightly patterned bedding items ($140 for sheet sets and $150 for duvet sets) that she found an abundance of last year, but was disappointed in the offerings. Sally does report that there are plenty of other items to choose from though.
Throw pillows are $30 and $40, throw blankets are $95. Table linens start at $20 for napkins and $25 for placemats. As for kids, crib sets start at $155; crib fitted sheets are $18; kids blankets are $40 and $60; bib/burp sets are $18.
A look through the pics shows lots of nature themed graphics (birds, owls, kangaroos etc.) in bold colors and prints. A staffer did say that there would be a new shipment on Wednesday, but no word on if it would include new styles. The sale runs through Sunday.
