Walk through the Meatpacking District this weekend and you'll notice a thing or two: one, that the area is busier than it has ever been and two, that there's surprisingly few colorful summer clothes peeking out from the boutique windows.

For example, Scoop's windows tout white as the color, and yet Alexander McQueen is full of black, black, black. So thus it's with relief that we stumbled past Matthew Williamson last night, to see vibrant island- and Hamptons-friendly colors out in full force.

We probably wouldn't wear his blue silk shirt with the mirror shards all over it, and does that mannequin in the cropped green jacket look full-figure? In any case, MW is the place you want for those show-stopping resort dresses, for days that you're brave enough to step out of the black New York City uniform.
