Billy Reid's Pig Roast; Shecky's Girls' Night Out

A model at Billy Reid's fall presentation. We don't know what's grabbed his attention, but we like to think it's some delicious BBQ.

THE BOWERY—If there's one thing we know about good-old-boy label Billy Reid, it's that their Bond Street boutique has never missed an opportunity to break out the Southern food. This weekend, designer Billy Reid himself is in town to cheer on Alabama barbecue joint Jim 'N Nick's for the eighth annual Big Apple Bar-B-Q, so the store decided to take things to the next level. Forget about the fried chicken of yore—they're roasting a whole pig in front of the shop. If you'd like to get in on the porky, saucy action, send an email to rsvp@maguiresteele.com or call 917.675.6107. [Racked Inbox]

SOHO—Coming up next week: Annual shopping event Shecky's Girls' Night Out, an evening of fashion and beauty treatments organized by the city guide. Actually, it's four evenings—next Tuesday through Friday from 5pm to 10pm each night. Check out the vendors and other details on the Shecky's site; tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door.
