We already love Plenty by Tracy Reese for her super-wearable (and affordable) flirty, feminine clothing line. So it really made our day to hear that designer Tracy Reese will be expanding the Plenty brand by launching a casual and vintage-inspired shoe collection for Fall. The shoe collection will feature 30 styles with a mix of boots, flats, manageable heels and on-trend clogs, with tougher detailing like tassels and lug soles. The prices are just as manageable, ranging from $95 to $200. Moving the Plenty shoe production to China (while the main Tracy Reese shoe line is produced in Italy) helped reduce the retail prices to 40% below the signature line. (Before you start knocking "Made in China", you'd be surprised how much is made there. A quick check through our wardrobe counts Catherine Malandrino and Helmut Lang).
The line expansion also includes home collections, candles and bath accessories. Plus, Tracy Reese is also musing on growing the line with another magic word: handbags. She tells WWD, "I’m interested in doing handbags. They’ll be priced in the low $200 range. I also want to do cosmetics and travel bags using Plenty prints.” "Plenty" more reasons to look forward to the Fall.
