Petit Boudoir, a new vintage womenswear and accessories boutique, quietly opened earlier this month on the charming strip of Franklin Street in Greenpoint. The boutique prides itself in offering "tailored classics", as well as their own house-made candles and soaps. Along with vintage frocks, Petit Boudoir carries brands such as KBL Eyewear, Rebecca Norman handmade jewelry and Brooklyn jewelry designer Kate Claughton. When husband and fashionista-wife team Mike and Marietta decided to go open up shop, they fell in love with Franklin Street (as opposed to louder and brasher Williamsburg), preferring the quieter pace, independently fashionable residents and, most of all, the sense of community. From the looks of it, this lovely, homey boutique looks like it'll fit right in.
