And in an early entry for store window of the year: Moschino's "Love is Free" ATM display. You know, just when you begin to think that everything that can be done with visual merchandising has been done, a store like Bergdorf Goodman or Barney's really shakes it up.
Moschino belongs up with these big boys, since their constantly über-creative West 14th Street windows go beyond simply having mannequins sporting pretty dresses; they devise whole milieus for the pieces, and could just as easily be gallery installations.
Now, who wants to make a huge withdrawal from the bank of Moschino? Love might be free, but to fare una bella figura is not.
