Only a few months after shuttering its Tools for Living offshoot, Design Within Reach has closed down its Tribeca store. Blog I Loved New York, which is all over the DWR beat, reports that the window of the store now reads "Moved to Soho" and "We're Gone." The Soho store is both more centrally located and much bigger, so this isn't necessarily a death rattle on the part of the brand—especially since they've said for a while that they're trying to edit their operations. Still, DWR is such a good match for Tribeca, land of high-priced modern apartments, that it's sad to see them go. Poignant detail: I Loved New York knows a couple who met at the Tribeca branch. Where are they going to celebrate their anniversary now?
