Sample Sally reports some good finds at the Sferra sale currently taking place in Chelsea Market, where high-quality linens are running 50% to 80% off. Sheet sets and duvet covers are particularly popular, she says, with sheets going for $79 (queen, 100% pima cotton) and $95 (queen, 100% Egyptian cotton, striped) and duvets for $199. More prices:
The Rosina queen sheet set in 100% Egyptian cotton percale with embroidered roses was tagged at $230. Decorative throw pillows embroidered in silk taffeta and linen/cotton blend were on sale from $39 to $79. The cashmere throws for $200 caught my eye. There were bath towels for $12 and hand towels for $6. They even had baby blankets in pink, blue, yellow and white for $15.If the Chelsea Market's ample crowds are too much for you, take Madison Avenue Spy's advice and check out the Frette sale online, where you'll find similar discounts, though a smaller selection.
