Cartoon Crocodile Puts Cutesy Face on Soho's Crocs Behemoth

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The face of the Crocs store on Spring Street has been revealed at long last, and Soho will never be the same. Well, actually it won't be that different, but it will have 100% more cartoon crocodiles, which we can probably all agree is something that neighborhood really needed. Snooping around the site today, we discovered that the scaffolding has all come down, although the windows are still covered with plastic sheets. Inside, you can see shelves and exposed-brick walls. But the most significant change might be the reptile insignia on the glass doors, smiling broadly and waiting to greet shoppers coming out of Chanel across the street.
