MIDTOWN EAST—Back in 2008, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bond No. 9 launched fragrances for men and women. The perfumes must have done well, because Bond No. 9 just released a second one for women: Saks-en-Rose. As the name suggests, it's got a ladylike floral scent, hence the timing—Bond No. 9 and Saks are hoping it'll sell for Mother's Day. Buy it for your own mom, if that's her kind of thing, for $215 for 100ml or $145 for 50ml. [RackedWire]

UPPER EAST SIDE—Rumor has it that Fairway might set up an outpost on the other side of the park, but the Second Avenue subway seems to be getting in the way. Reports Gothamist: "The popular gourmet food market has been considering opening on East 86th Street between Second and Third Avenues, but as subway construction crews take over Second Avenue, truck loading and unloading zones will be blocked."
