Clogs are shaping up to be such a massive spring trend that in about a month, Soho's going to look like it was invaded by the Dutch army. But unlike, say, the over-the-knee boots craze, this is a movement wherein you can sort of make up your own rules. Sure, Opening Ceremony sells velvet clog boots, and No. 6 offers all sorts of options, but did you know that Swedish brand Sven lets you customize from a gigantic range of materials? The options, as the photo above demonstrates, are pretty breathtaking: We're talking multiple florals, lime green patent leather, and something that appears to be giraffe print. As with all things custom, please proceed with caution—just because you can get lime green patent clogs doesn't mean you should. But if you'd like to make sure nobody else is wearing your shoes, hit up Refinery in Carroll Gardens or Jumelle in Williamsburg, both of which offer DIY options.
