Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

India! It's everywhere! And by "everywhere," we mean that two fancy stores will soon bring Indian designers to Manhattan. You've heard about Kimaya, coming to the Upper East Side this September, but now allow us to introduce you to Misha Nicole, a rotating concept shop that will open in Soho this fall. Misha Nicole's goal is to introduce cutting-edge Indian labels to New Yorkers, and they're holding a preview pop-up in the Paramount Hotel this very minute in order to get people excited. What's there? Explains Refinery: "Think dramatic gowns from Babita Malkani, Payal Singhal's variations on the traditional saris, and Namrata Joshipura's cocktail sheaths—plus find traditional items like scarves and jewelry that will spice up your wardrobe." Stop by the Paramount, on W. 46th between Seventh and Eighth, before 9pm tonight to check out the goods.
