Indian fashion house Kimaya has boutiques in Mumbai, Delhi, and Dubai, and now the company plans to open a New York City flagship this September. They'll be settling into a two-floor, 4,500-square-foot location on Madison Avenue and 63rd Street, where bedding boutique E. Braun used to be. Kimaya stores carry the in-house brand alongside clothing and accessories from major South Asian labels. According to Madison Avenue Spy, "more than 110 high profile designers" are represented in each boutique, which means Madison Avenue is about to get a giant influx of new talent. Soon enough, the rest of the country should benefit, too—the U.S. company that licensed Kimaya plans to follow the New York store with boutiques in Los Angeles and Miami.
