On April 1st, Spanish fashion chain Mango and designer (not to mention fashion royalty) Moises de la Renta will launch MDLR for Mango, a more accessible line of the designer's famed t-shirts. The 25-year old son of fashion icon Oscar de la Renta first made a name for himself with his exclusive line of cutting edge tees and, last August, had the honor of dressing Michelle Obama. The MDLR for Mango t-shirts retain the younger de la Renta's signature aesthetic of feminine details, androgynous shapes and intricate embellishments. The prices will range from a wallet friendly $50 to $70, a much more affordable option to his signature collection priced from $90 to $2500. If this line works out well, de la Renta would like to grow the collection to day and cocktail dresses. Shoppers can check out the collab at the Soho Mango located on Broadway's fast fashion corridor. [WWD, subscription req'd]
