Empire State Building Heels: Better Than an "I Heart NY" Shirt

New, 3 comments

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Geox has a location just down the street from the Empire State Building, so it's only logical that they would make shoes with Empire State Building heels. Wait, no, actually, it's not logical at all. Has anyone in the history of the world ever looked at their heels and thought "These are nice, but I wish they more closely resembled an iconic building?" Of course, since these are a limited-edition run, we get the feeling that the goal here is publicity rather than sales, in which case: Good job! The shoes run for $230 a pair; they come in three different patterns and are available only at the 34th Street store.
