Exciting fashion news for Fall—NY retail favorite Steven Alan will be launching an inaugural line of handbags. Alan says that the line was inspired by an equestrian aesthetic and described it as a “subversive take on the classics”. The capsule collection of six basic shapes includes shoulder bags, satchels and hobos featuring "bridled leather and brass hardware" accents. With retail prices between a (relatively) reasonable $398 and $565, we have really high hopes for the Steven Alan sales taking place twice a year. The capsule collection will be available in the New York stores and Barneys Co-Op, plus California locations and Net-a-porter.com. [WWD, subscription req'd]
