How badly did the Recessionista want a Liberty-print Target pillow? So badly that she was willing to enlist Target's less-than-enthusiastic customer service to dig it out of the stockroom. Click through to witness her exhausting journey, which involved toting around print-outs from Target.com to prove that the pillow was in stock, laying fruitless siege at the help desk, and finally collaring an employee and demanding a stock-room search. She concludes by pointing out that it really is OK to ask for help at Target, a statement that suggests some pretty sad things about our expectations for big box stores. [The Recessionista]
