EAST VILLAGE—The Thread paid a visit to Tokio 7's fancy new location in a building across the street from their old home on E. 7th. The report: "The new Tokio7 gave its stellar selection of designer consignment some more room to breathe, with a bright, spacious layout. It seems as though inventory will be bulked up to properly fill the space, but for now, though slightly spare, there's still lots of good stuff to be had, from the dress racks to the shoe nook." THE GARMENT DISTRICT—This is the eighth time sample sale site Clothingline has hosted a J.Crew blowout. On all seven previous occasions, the feedback has been the same: There's a lot of merchandise there, but it's all in pretty bad shape. As such, we're inclined to believe the commenters who are reporting lots of damaged goods. Have you been? As always, the tipline is open. [Racked Comments]
