Diane von Furstenberg is All About the Ladies

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Sometimes we like to stop and think about what the world would be like if Diane von Furstenberg had did menswear collections. We imagine a dash of Matthew Williamson, some DKNY Mens, and lots of leopard accents would be a fair assumption, but thankfully DVF sticks to what she does best: clothes for women, that women actually want to wear (and okay, some guys too).

Therefore, this recent International Women's Day could be construed?in the fashion world?as something like an unofficial DVF Day. And the day, March 8, was properly celebrated in the windows of DVF all this week with hippie-chic looks and a huge pink banner proclaiming "Proud to be a Woman." And we suppose nothing says you are woman better than a tight, assets-flaunting body-con dress like one of the models sports. Yep?nothing better.
