Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
The dressing rooms at the Liberty for Target pop-up are dark and moody, with each curtained-off space lit from above by a single spotlight. The harsh lighting actually turns out to be hugely helpful if you're trying to determine whether a halter dress will be too sheer in direct sunlight, but it's not great for accurately judging colors. Our friends at Sugar Rock Catwalk solved this problem by bringing a camera into the dressing room and then re-photographing their haul in better light.
Check out their post for side-by-side comparisons, plus a closer look at some of the best items from this large collection. Then, if you're still longing for more Liberty, head over to StyledOn, which also has a full report. Unlike the Sugar Rock Catwalk ladies, who hit up the preview, the StyledOn blogger went yesterday afternoon, so her report on the stock is a bit more up-to-date. The shop was picked over, she says, but judging from her shopping bag (above), it looks like she managed to make out alright.
