It was freezing last night, and Sixth Ave. was deserted; but a packed and decidedly posh-looking crowd gathered in the serpentine, subterranean theater space at the Tribeca Grand for a private screening of Bravo’s Kell On Earth. Hosted by Kelly Cutrone, the star publicist managed to plug both her new book and a line from last night's premier with a tee shirt reading: “If You Have To Cry, Go Outside.” Busy-bodied as she appears on the show, Cutrone brusquely greeted the friends and colleagues she refers to as her “tribe” while dictating seating and entertaining her daughter Ava.

A bit disjointed before the show got rolling at 10pm; things really started coming together thanks to a vodka and sparkling wine bar, and the hilarious and/or so-horrifying they could only be hilarious zingers from the episode. Buckets of movie theater popcorn and Ben & Jerry's ice cream didn’t hurt either. Along with Cutrone (and daughter, and daughter’s nanny), we spotted most of the cast of the show (Andrew wasn’t in a dress), plus fashion show regular Rosemary Ponzo, photographer Mick Rock, womenswear designer Frank Tell, and so much fur there wouldn’t have been enough red paint on the island.

During the actual screening the increasingly boisterous crowd actually managed to settle down and watch the premier; wholeheartedly laughing and nodding along. Meanwhile, various People’s Revolution employees in the front rows received text after text from the uninvited congratulating them on whatever so hilarious lines they were guilty of. When the show reran at 11pm most of them held on to their seats to watch it all over again, but outside in the lounge, photos were snapped and glasses were shattered. If nothing else, a prelude to the sloppy-glamorous partying we’ll all be lining up for when Fashion Week starts up in just over a week.
