We love Internet shopping, but we still have to admit a certain amount of trepidation whenever we click the "buy now" button on an article of clothing we've never seen in person. It's kind of like Russian Roulette, except a version where no one will get shot, and you just risk getting an ugly sweater. So we were excited to see that she has the new OMO Norma Kamali line for eBay on display in her 56th St. flagship.
The original gray sweatshirt-fabric collection is still present with several comfy jackets and flattering jersey dresses alongside more conceptual pieces, like a long dress with a sleeve attached to the hem. Last time red was the dominant color, but this collection switches to bright blue robes, skirts, and even a stretchy tube-top/mini-skirt thing that people in the 80s used to call a "multiple."
There are more patterns this time, with a large, black and white leopard-esque print on long skirts and dresses, and some blousy tops in a black and tan crosshatched tops. Kamali's signature swimwear are present, of course, with retro striped bikinis, sexy strapless one-pieces, and a number of cover-ups. Because the collection is sold directly to customers without having to stop off at a retailer for a price hike, it's sold at wholesale prices, nothing is over $300, and most pieces are significantly below that
