In a rare occurrence of celebrity fashion lines we'd actually like to see, Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir said he wanted a career in fashion after his figure skating career is over. Weir made headlines last month when PETA heard that he planned to wear a fox fur-trimmed costume and flipped out over it until the skater replaced it with faux fur. His costume designer, Stephanie Handler says she thinks he can hack it as a designer. "He's been wanting to design since he began to skate. He loves fashion and clothes and all that stuff. ... At this point, he knows enough about the amount of work that goes into designing to do his own. He brings in sketches to me and I work with him to clarify things. He’s really into choosing everything all the way down to the last details." [WWD, subscription required]
