The Barneys Warehouse Sale has been going on for nearly a week now, and we visited today hoping for some new discounts to re-motivate us into plunging into the piles of clothing. The good news is that there are a couple discounts, but the bad news is that it's not anything susbstantial: 25% off denim and 25% off red star designer clothing.
Shoes?the only reason some people come to the sale?are still at their marked sale price, although we found some prime YSL and Givenchy heels still in the mix that might be worth it. As for Christian Louboutins and other top desginers, it's obvious that the selection is quite picked-over. But if you're a size 9 and willing to drop $1300 or so, those gray Rodarte x Nicholas Kirkwood thigh-high boots are still there.
Over in clothing, we were shocked shocked to see three runway looks from Rodarte on the racks. Sure, they're still priced at a grand or two on sale, but we thought people were champing at the bit to get their hands on Rodarte. Guess not. We saw this look, this look and this stunner (that one in an 8) on the racks.
There's also plenty plain Jil Sander, a row of Lanvin and we even spotted one of those gorgeous perfume bottle dresses from Mary Katrantzou marked down to $299. We'll keep out eyes open the rest of this week for more discounts, and for more of those perfume bottle dresses (we want one!).
