The closing of Phi was such a sad event for Cintra Wilson that she couldn't even take pleasure in getting a pair of their gothy S&M boots at 90% off. Instead, she went on to Edon Manor, a "cheeky" English library-style store stuffed with only the most fashion-forward of runway accessories. Wilson met the saleswoman, a kicky platinum blonde, and decides "that Goldie Hawn must have given Ms. Kumpf's mother the evil eye when she was in utero." We're trying to figure out what that could possibly mean, and we'll let you know if we figure it out. Moments later the saleswoman was trying on Wilson's Phi boots, and Wilson was living our new dream of trying on this place's endless stock of Givenchy and Alaïa. [NYT]
