Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
It's like video day or something here on Racked, what with all the clips of upcoming fashion shows and whatnot. But let's flip it for a moment to take a look back at the work of the iconic Bill Cunningham, who has done over 25 short videos of his "On the Street" photography for the New York Times.
Although we spot him hanging out outside of Fashion Week venues and hip parties, waiting to snap the most impeccably dressed partiers, he's usually to be found at his favorite corner of Fifth Avenue and 59th Street, in front of Bergdorf Goodman. Now he's got a second home however, as blog Put This On discovered that all of his "On the Street" videos are now easily archived into their own channel on YouTube.
We highly recommend doing some pre-Fashion Week destressing?which can be written off as preparation as well?by hunkering down with some hot chocolate and all 28 of the short videos. If you like The Sartorialist, then you'll love Cunningham, who was an inspiration to Schuman and recently even became the subject of Bergdorf window displays.
