With all the many sales happening this week, don't overlook the one at the Thread Social showroom on the outskirts of Flatiron. When we stopped by yesterday afternoon, the small space was crowded with customers and the prices were so good that we were surprised nobody was shoving for a good shot at the dresses and skirts.
Evening gowns are $100, skirts are even less, and pieces from the current collection are going for a fraction of their original costs (up to 80% off, to be exact). A short black frilly skirt, regularly priced above $300, was marked down to $75. The Spring/Summer racks held the threads of many fun, summery dresses for less than $250, while the fresh fall rack carried discounted designs for $300 to $400, originally priced $600 and up.
The sale ends today at 8pm, but no need to worry—many dresses in sizes 2 to 12 were still hanging yesterday afternoon, waiting to dazzle shoppers with their patterns and frills.—Jena Glick
