This week, Jon Caramanica takes on Dash, the Kardashians' new Spring Street emporium. He reassembles the same team he brought to evaluate the Forever 21 in Times Square but cautions that they're not there to make fun: "Our embrace isn't post-ironic or contempt-driven; it's genuine. The Kardashians are make-gooders, admirable for their persistence and good cheer." Sadly, the same can't be said of their taste, and so the next six paragraphs or so are devoted to describing how Dash is "a fashion desert." The column leaves us with two questions: Why isn't the store organized by the sister's personalities, with separate sections for Kims, Kourtneys, and Khloes? And, perhaps more importantly, which one are you? [NYT]
