Announcing a late-breaking addition to the monster list of mid-December sales: Alexander Wang. Over the past couple years, this bi-annual sale has become a heavy hitter, mirroring Wang's rise from emerging designer to serious fashion presence. But while the label has gone mainstream and the crowds have swelled, the discounts remain pretty amazing—back in August we found cocktail dresses for $50 and $75 on the sample racks.
The upcoming sale runs from Thursday, December 16 through next Sunday, December 19. Hours are 10am to 7pm every day except Sundaym when they close at 2pm. As usual, discounts run up to 80%, and as usual, the location is 93 Mercer Street between Spring and Broome. Merchandise includes pre-fall 2010, fall 2010, bags, shoes, and T by Alexander Wang for men and for women. Oversized wool coats will be $300 (were $1,100), jersey and silk dresses will be $160 (were $895), knitwear will be $150 (was $895), and women's T tops will be $45 (were $118).
