Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

There are a few ways to do an only-in-New-York holiday window display. You can go literal and fill your windows with classic New York imagery. You can go shocking and imply some kind of kinky S&M relationship between Santa and Rudolph. Or you can just pay tribute to a New York icon even though he has nothing to do with Christmas. C.O. Bigelow went with the latter route in their Andy Warhol Christmas display, and as the Imaginary Socialite points out, it's fantastic.
