Soho is back, baby! That's the thesis of this style section article, which points out that just a year ago, one out of 10 shops between West Broadway and Broadway sat vacant. Now, everyone from Isabel Marant to Kim Kardashian has staked a claim on the neighborhood, and local landlords are finally retiring their desktop stress balls. Not everyone is happy about the revival, though. Soho Alliance director Sean Sweeney, the same man who called Dash shoppers "classless, tasteless and clueless sheep," sums up the problem succinctly when he asks, “Who wants to live in a shopping mall?"
