We've just received first word from the Proenza Schouler sample sale, and it's not good. Writes a reader: "If you're into paying $100 for t-shirts because they have a nice label, then this sale is right for you! The only thing that was an OK deal were the bulky futuristic PS1 clutches at $550. Cropped jackets $450, suede pants $400, sweater dresses $380. My biggest concern for this 'sale' was the lack of merch! One small room with five racks of clothes is supposed to last three days? Maybe they knew their discounts weren't steep enough to compete with the likes of Broadway around Christmas! I'll save maxing my credit card for the Wang sale." [Racked Inbox]
