After a whirlwind trip across the country, Sanrio's Small Gift Mobile Pop-Up Shop, celebrating the company's 50th anniversary, packed up its adorable creatures' goods and came to Manhattan. With a stop at Art Basel in Miami last week that included art by Shepard Fairey, an 8,000 square foot converted warehouse and an amazing array of Hello Kitty cupcakes, Sanrio went all out for their half-century celebration. Now, their iconic characters and a vehicle full of collectibles are here to make New Yorkers feel like they're back in fifth grade, in a good way.
The pop up is open in Herald Square today from 11am—7pm, but it's the shop's its last day on tour, so make sure you get there in time to scoop up a stocking full of Keroppi goodies for the holidays. Who cares if it's all for your little sister who just so happens to not exist? You'll have the snazziest lunch box in the whole office, and that's all that matters.
