Buckler launched their biannual sample sale with wine at a very well-publicized VIP preview yesterday evening. Held at their subterranean Meatpacking District shop, the sale features stock in a full run of sizes, never-produced true samples, and a handful of still-wearable reruns from the brand's spring sale.
Find the label's coveted denim sorted by size in boxes. Various styles and washes are only $40 a pair (from around $200). Buy three pairs and get a fourth for free. Across the aisle in the sale alcove (salcove?) find racks sorted by price from $40 to $100. Woven shirts, light denim jackets, jersey tops, contrast-collar print oxfords and light bombers are going for $40; macro-cable knit roll-neck sweaters and other intricate knits are $75; heavy woolen and leather coats and jackets are $100.
In the center of the space: More boxes. Solid dress shirts and fly-bedecked scarves are $25 but the true treasure hunt lies in the group of mixed bag $15-boxes. We spotted all-over printed tees, chambray-trimmed union suits, slinky-hipster sweatpants and other mixes and matches (avoid the many-zippered lavender cargos).
The sale runs all weekend but sales were brisk so we recommend getting there sooner rather than later. Bonus: It's happening in the store—credit cards are accepted and those willing to wait around can use the fitting rooms.
