Back in August, Brownstoner reported that the Apple Store was indeed coming to Brooklyn, at least according to commercial broker Robert Greenstone. Now, tech site BGR has a tantalizing update: According to their sources, Apple is looking to hire within the borough. So how do we know they're not looking for Brooklyn-based consultants to work in Manhattan? Explains BGR: "Apple’s job listing clearly calls for candidates who would work at a retail sales location, and it is currently the only job listing found when Brooklyn is specified as the search location." Hey, if Shake Shack can open on the Fulton Mall, then anything can happen.
